Meltdown Fighting Championships is an MMA showcase event run by Simon O’Brien, Paul Sutherland and the event team at Showtechs promotions.
Simon and Paul are taking a major step up in promoting the growth of UKMMA. Events will take place in Bristol in our 24ft pro MMA Cage accompanied by a full professional event set up.
Meltdown MMA will also be exclusively broadcast on Fightworld TV.
Meltdown Fighting Championships run a 2 tiered development system of professional and amateur MMA rules according to experience and age to make competing a safer environment for fighters. Meltdown Academy is a daytime show tailored for juniors and novice adult amateurs and the main MFC event is an evening show for adult more experienced amateurs and Pro MMA fighters.
The 2 tiered system will consist of the following rule sets:-
MFC ACADEMY 12-4pm
Youth mma under 16yrs (no headshots)
Novice mma 16yrs and over (adults included)
3 x 2 min Amatuer rules with Shinguards & MFC hybrid mma bigger gloves.
The aim of this event is to give novice level fighters a quality experience on a professional platform
MFC 12: 6pm onwards
Unified Amatuer & professional mma rules.
K1 Kickboxing Amatuer rules
PRO MMA 3 x 5 min rounds unified professional rules
UNIFIED AMATEUR MMA 3 x 3 min rounds. Must have a Minimum if 12 months MMA training.
